Beyond physical safety, tempered glass offers excellent hygiene benefits. The material is entirely non-porous and non-reactive. Therefore, it does not absorb odors or leach chemicals into food, even under high-acid cooking conditions. Its transparency also allows for efficient “visible cooking,” which prevents steam burns by reducing the need to lift the lid.
